WHAT IS THE MAIN REQUIREMENT TO BE ABLE TO RENEW?

The first card that you have obtained is to be able to work so what they will look when you are processing the renewal is that you have actually worked or tried to.

If you are on one of the following options you will be able to renew your first residence permit:

​

• You continue working for the same employer/company

• You have a new contract  and you are alta in the Social Security with a new employer/company

• You can proof that you worked for at least 9 months and you got fired and that you have tried to find a you actively during all the periode of your residence pemit.

• Your official partner has work and you can be a dependant of that person.

• Your contract was ended because you are a victim of gender violence.

IS THERE A PROBLEM IF DURING MY FIRST YEAR I HAVE A PERIOD THAT I DIDN'T WORK?

No. It is actually something common for people to change jobs and not to be alta in the SS for sometime. The important thing is that you work at lest 3 months and that you have a new contract when processing the renewal.

WHAT CAN I DO IF I DO NOT HAVE A JOB IN THE RENEWAL TIME?

​

You can present the application from 60 days before expiration to 90 days after expiration so you can wait until you find a job to process your application.

​

CAN I RENEW WITH PART TIME JOB?​

​

Yes you can renew with a part time job (less than 40 hours). You can also renew if you have more than one contract.

• Full time passport (all pages)

• NIE back and front

• Work contract.

• Nominas

• If 2 contract both contracts.

• Name of your parents

• Marital status of you

• Current address of you Phone number of your boss

FOR HOW LONG WILL BE THE NEW PERMIT?

The new permit that you will obtain will be valid for 2 years.

HOW LONG TAKES THE RENEWAL?

​

Depending on the province that you are living. In some provinces is taking 2-3 months in some longer.

WHAT HAPPENDS IF MY CARD EXPIRES AND THERE IS NOT RESULT. CAN I WORK?

Nothing happends. The important thing that you present your renewal maximum after 90 days of expiration. 

​

Once your renewal is presented your permit will be extended until there is a result and you will be able to continue working legally with no issues.

TAXES

 

The process has 3 government taxes for the renewal process. You have to pay 2 taxes (around 35€ and one for your boss of 81€ in most of parts of Spain and 230€ in Cataluña)

 

Sometimes we encounter issues regarding your boss complaining about his/her tax to be paid as they do not understand why they need to pay for your renewal.

​

In that case they can contact the government and ask for it so they understand the reason.

​

Lastly if your boss really doesn't want to pay then you can pay for it so you will be able to renew.

​

We are the one preparing your taxes and we have a services in which we pay for your taxes and you pay for it at the end.

PRICE

Our price policy is that you do not pay anything when we start the renewal and we present your documents and your payment comes once we call you and we give you the good news that is already favorable (approved). 

​

We are sure it will be approved so we do not mind waiting for the aproval!

Our fee varies depending on the province that so you can contact us and we will inform you but generally is around 200€.
